Forrest Gump is directed by Robert Zemeckis which is a comedy ,drama and romance. Forrest Gump won six academy awards, including Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Director, and Best Actor. In addition, the movie is with great background music to let the audience having a strong impression.

Forrest Gump (Hanks), named after a civil war hero, grows up in Greenbow, Alabama, where his mother (Sally Field) runs a boarding house. Although Forrest is a little "slow" (his IQ is 75, 5 below the state's definition of "normal"), his mental

impairment doesn't seem to bother him, his mother, or his best (and only) friend, Jenny Curran (played as an adult by Robin Wright). In fact, the naivete that comes through a limited understanding of the world around him gives Forrest a uniquely positive perspective of life.

During the next thirty years, Forrest becomes a star football player, a war hero, a successful businessman, and something of a pop icon. Through it all, however, there is one defining element in his life: his love for Jenny. She is never far from his thoughts, no matter what he's doing or where he is.

What impressed me most in this film is a woman, Gump’s mom. I love her because of her greatness and wisdom. Do you still remember the scene of mom saying goodbye forever to Gump and especially those words that mom said to Gump. They are so moving and enlightening. (I quote it for you)‘It’s my time. It’s just my time. Oh, now don’t be afraid, sweetheart. Death is just a part of life. Something we are all destined to do. I didn’t know it, but I was destined to be your momma. I did the best I could.’ These were the last words that a mom who was dying but great said to her beloved son. What she said may be quite simple, but they must be a big deal of

lifetime. And the truth is that Gump gained then strength and confidence from mom’s words. So I have to say that mom is quite smart. Of course, as we known, mom’s wisdom was throughout Gump’s whole life. For example, the household words ‘Life

was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.’ She wanted to tell Gump that life is full of uncertainties and you must be able to struggle for the better life. Indeed, mom was successful. Gump went to the college, played football well, joined the army and became a successful businessman. All of them may be quite impossible for Gump whose IQ is just 75, but none of them are not perfect. I have to say that everything owed to his mom and she did do the best.

Life is like a box of chocolates you never know when the next one. We really like chocolate, like life, never know where his next stop. Some things are meant to be, but we should frankly face to face life, to accept the reality.
