oliver twist, one of the most famous works of charles dickens’, is a novel

reflecting the tragic fact of the life in britain in 18th century.the author who

himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to

reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence

hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in london. the hero of this novel

was oliver twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime.

he suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. while reading

the tragic experiences of the little oliver, i was shocked by his sufferings. i felt

for the poor boy, but at the same time i detested the evil fagin and the brutal bill.

to my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually

conquered devil and oliver lived a happy life in the end. one of the plots that

attracted me most is that after the theft, little oliver was allowed to recover in

the kind care of mrs. maylie and rose and began a new life. he went for walks with

them, or rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. he felt as if he had

left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.how can such a

little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and

mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important

information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed thatgoodness could conquer

every difficulty. although i don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet i do believe

that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person.

goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodness is an utterly

worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘the fragrance always

stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a

happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also

gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he

三、实习过程：

这一次非常高兴能由陈红老师担任我们的实习指导老师。首先，老师结合阅读考试成绩和课堂表现在我班挑选12名左右阅读能力比较强的学生，

按照实习的目标进行重点训练，然后再进行考核。然后通过考核前8名的学生分别分配到划

分好的小组担任负责人，对本组的同学进行集体阅读训练及指导。最后要求全体同学进行一

次阅读理解能力的自我检测，对未达到要求者再加强训练，逐个掌握。然后，在课堂上老师通过举具体实例等方式事例讲解释义，并鼓励同学踊跃积极的参与

课堂活动，加强学生课堂限时限量实践训练，并布置课后作业，督促学生巩固复习。

四、实习目的:

本课程教学实习时为了检查学生英语阅读能力是否达标，重点检查学生对阅读技巧的掌

握和对各种题材的阅读速度是否符合本科生的要求。本课程的教学实习将强化课程内容的学

习，培养学生细致观察语言的能力以及假设判断、分析归纳、推理检验等逻辑思维能力；提

高学生的阅读技能，包括细读、略读、跳读、推读、概读、查阅等能力；并通过阅读训练帮

助其扩大词汇量，吸收语言和文化背景知识。使学生更加深入了解阅读在我们实际生活和学

习中的应用,丰富已学过的专业课内容,培养我们理论联系实际的能力,提高我们的在阅读应

用中分析问题及解决问题的实际能力..通过实习,还使我们了解阅读技巧在各个方面的重要地位,例如：报纸，杂志上的阅读。

五、实习内容：

根据该门课程的教学大纲的要求，设置以下内容为检测目标：

1. 根据上下文线索猜测生词意义；

2. 根据构词法猜测生词意义；

3. 找出文中的关键词和关键句；

4. 概括文章的中心思想；

5. 学会跳读以查找特定的信息；

6. 学会略读了解文章大意；

7. 规定时间内独立完成英文原著的阅读和完成读书笔记。

六、实习收获和重要心得体会：英语阅读是英语学习的一个重要组成部分，也是英语实际应用能力的重要方面。通过此

次实习后我觉得阅读是一个积极主动的过程。简单来说一篇文章的意义不在于材料本身，而

是我们作为读者与材料不断交流活动的结果。我们要把新知识和旧知识联系起来，以便完整

地理解文章的意义，这种引申意义的脑力活动不仅仅是对词汇意义的解码，而且是对文章的

全面理解。

在实习过程中，针对自己的短处和不足，我采取了措施，努力加强专项训练，使我阅读

水平有了很大的提高。当然，其中也少不了向老师以结合英语阅读的目的和常见的阅读考题

形式，利用教学和练习教给学生一些基本的阅读技巧，使我更容易利用和掌握，达到事半功

倍的效果。现在，我基本能够能迅速找出主题句。能根据语境推测生词的意义。能把握文章的语言结构，能利用语法知识对复杂句子和疑难结构进行分析。

能辨别文章大意，包括作者的思想、观点、判断等。能快速、准确、有效地获取文章信息，

能对获得的信息进行分析、推理，从而形成自己的见解。能通过写大纲的方式，来帮助理解

记忆文章的内容和观点。能分析文章论述的各种模式：如按时间、空间顺序，或通过举例、

比较、例举等多种方式。能深入了解文章风格体裁、文化背景的多方面特色，不断提高综合

阅读能力。

要留心关键词句，注意弦外之音。对文章的评价分析，一定要坚持“词不离句，句不离

篇”，要理解文章作者的原意，而不能按你自己的意愿去想当然。如果文章太长，你可以先把

文章后面的问题看一遍，带着问题去看文章。这样可以帮助你去掉杂念，提高阅读速度和解

题的正确性。要善于找关键句，特别要注意文章的第一段和最后一段的头一句话，往往就是

关键句，可以帮助你掌握文章的全貌，理解文章的主题。此外，还应该细读文章，因为有时

的试题是考细节。可以边读边用铅笔做点标记，把有关的人物、事件、时间、地点、原因即

五个w划出来。凡逢人物就圈起来，看完一数，有几个圈就是几个人，一目了然。总之，英语阅读理解涉及到了语言基础知识和综合能力的运用，提高阅读能力不是易事，

需要教师的教育和引导，更离不开我们自身的努力，我们应该了解英语阅读的目的，养成良

好的阅读习惯，掌握科学的阅读技巧，并将他们运用到的大量的阅读训练中，对提高阅读理

解能力有较大的帮助。一分耕耘一分收获，努力了才有回报，实习已经结束，但我相信这只是我的一个起点，不是终点。阅读学习让我收获颇多，也把我

从本科生的幻想拉回现实，我在实习的过程中，既有收获的喜悦，也有一些遗憾。但是通过

实习，加深了我对阅读基本知识的理解，丰富了我的阅读管理知识，使我对我们日常所接触

到的英语阅读知识感性和理性认识。认识到要做好日常阅读知识积累和管理工作.实际上实习

真的是一种经历，只有亲身体验才知其中滋味。课本上学的知识都是最基本的知识，不管现

实情况怎样变化，抓住了最基本的就可以以不变应万变。如今有不少学生实习时都觉得课堂

上学的知识用不上，出现挫折感，但我觉得，要是没有书本知识作铺垫，又哪能应付这瞬息

万变的社会呢？对于阅读也是如此。没有良好的阅读基础怎么能够更好的去了解外国文化和

文明。这次实习虽然时间很短但收获是十分巨大的，以后我会继续努力取得更大的进步！

七、存在的不足和建议这次实习虽然时间不长,但我收获颇多,同时，也知道了自己的短处和不足,如:词汇量少，

对词语理解不准确、不全面。背景知识的缺乏，影响对整篇文章的理解。对英语表达的思维

模式和句子结构不熟悉，造成文章理解的困难。虽然通过这次实习，自己的阅读速度得到了

一定的提高，对阅读方法的把握也有进步，但不能否认自己因为平时自己的阅读量太小，对

于很多题材的文章都感到比较陌生，因此很难迅速找到最行之有效的阅读方法，在阅读速度

这一发面，仍然需要不断提升。所以，以后自己会加强在这一方面的积累。同时，还会逐渐

process would be” can be easily seen as the author’s deep philosophy towards life. by reading it, the reader can both enjoy the plots and be stimulated!
